Arcade Fire Used My Street in Their Video, and Yours!

Arcade fire

http://www.thewildernessdowntown.com/

A new experiment using HTML has incorporated music into it's demonstrations. In this Google Chrome only music video, you enter the street in which you grew up on and it will use multiple browsers opening and closing as the video plays showing actual footage of your home. Using Arcade Fire's new song you'll be able to see a kid running away from their home in the suburbs, a feeling most of us have felt at some point or another. The screen-cap above shows how complex the presentation can get, including street-view and arial view of my home. You can also write a message to yourself from when you were younger and if you give permission your message could end up on the huge screens during an Arcade Fire concert. Just click the link above to get started.

Chilling in a Hammock with Hot Chelle Rae

As I've said many times before, Warped Tour is a huge event where I was fortunate enough to be able to spend time backstage and conduct multiple interviews with bands of all different genres. Some interviews I had been planning on for weeks, and others happened on the spot. While taking a break in a hammock and waiting for my next interview a guy with disheveled black hair and a cigarette came over and sat next to me and the girl I was sitting with, also there for press. It didn't take long for me to realize he was Ian from the band Hot Chelle Rae, and after a short conversation we decided to kill two birds with one stone and knock out another improvised interview while still sitting and relaxing in the hammock. They were some of the nicest guys on tour and if you will excuse the looseness of the improvised interview I highly suggest you check out the music of Hot Chelle Rae.

All Time Low Releases Tour Dates for Most Anticipated Tour of The Fall, Crashing Two Websites in The Process

Atl fall tour

Tonight has been a very exciting and slightly frustrating night for those special All Time Low Hustlers out there. The dates for the My Small Package tour were said to be released tonight at midnight, but the release was delayed due to the fact that The Hustler Club website crashed from so many visitors. Not only that but the popular blogging site Tumblr also experienced a delay due to people constantly visiting and refreshing the site. An admin sent out a message telling people to leave the site for a moment so the dates could finally be posted. The tour will include bands A Rocket To The Moon and City comma State. Presale begins this Wednesday September first but only for those who are members of the fan club. Keep your eyes peeled if you want to go to the show, the band is going back to their roots and only playing small venues, such as the Baltimore Recher Theatre where All Time Low got their start. So far it's taken over two and a half hours to get the site back up and get the dates onto the internet to those loyal anxious fans. BUT only half the dates are currently out and the rest will be out shortly. There are 24 dates in all.

Never Shout Never Does Hasty Releases for Piggy Bank and Lovesick Music Videos

I'm personally starting to wonder if Christofer Drew makes time to breathe every once and a while because he is the man who never slows down to take a break. Touring for a solid year now with only a few weeks break time the band has released two full length albums, two EP's, done a song for the Almost Alice soundtrack, An album for the EatMeWhileImHot side project, and made TEN music videos (On The Brightside, What Is Love?, Can't Stand It, I Love You 5, SeaWhatWeSeas, Coffee & Cigarettes, CheaterCheaterBestFriendEater, Lousy Truth, Piggy Bank and Lovesick). All in the span of one short year. Today the band released two music videos that go along with the album Harmony, Piggy Bank and Lovesick. Both videos are well made and carry the simple style of Christofer Drew, but if we had to pick one we like best I personally prefer Piggy Bank. Hopefully after the upcoming fall tour the band will be able to take some form of a break from touring and making music, even now they're on the VMA tour sharing the stage with The Ready Set. Any time they take off after this year will be very well deserved.
