Who the heck are Matt and Kim?

It's Dad here for today's post as Chelsea continues to edit the video footage from her day at the Warped tour . She's got a lot of great stuff still to post, so stayed tuned.

Looking ahead, All of us here at Dad's Car Radio are excited for the 2010 edition of the Virgin Mobile FREE Festival taking place at Merriweather Post Pavilion on September 25th.  I hope you were able to get your tickets!

There is a lot to like about this year's lineup, including Thievery Corporation, LCD Soundsystem, Pavement, the Great Joan Jett – I saw here in 1981 opening up for XTC at the legendary Painter's Mill Music Fair. She is still just the coolest. Also, T.I. , Ludacris and M.I.A. and more (Full lineup HERE

Among the familiar names, were a couple that I had no knowledge of, including Matt and Kim.

So I did a quick search and learned that they are a Dance Punk Duo from Brooklyn.

 OK, I'm intrigued.

Then I watched this YouTube video. Wow.

Now it's your turn to meet Matt and Kim.

In the flesh.

In Times Square.

I love New York.

An Interview with Christofer Drew on Warped Tour 2010

In what seems to be becoming a thing we do every 3-4 months we were able to sit down in the middle of the woods for an interview with Christofer Drew on the Vans Warped Tour 2010. Chris has been very busy lately recording his new album, planning fall tours, and jumping off of 25 foot speakers. As said earlier in our interview with Carter Hulsey, who is also Christofer's good friend and room mate, they will be doing a theatre tour this fall that will be following the August 24th release of his second full length album. Our group interview is just as fun as our past interviews with Chris, and if you haven't already, be sure to check out our past two interviews with Never Shout Never.

AP Reveals Tour Line Up Through View Counter.

http://www.altpress.com/tourreveal/

This has been taken from the link above

"Are you ready to see who's on the AP Fall Tour? All five bands are dying to be revealed, but they have to be unlocked first, and that's where you come in. See that counter over there? It is a live tracker of how many AP Tour fans are looking at this page at any given time. When the counter hits a certain number, the page will refresh and a band will be unlocked. The more of your friends you get to come to this page, the quicker the lineup will be revealed! Here's the breakdown:

BAND 1 revealed at 500 people
BAND 2 revealed at 1000 people
BAND 3 revealed at 2000 people
BANDS 4 and 5 revealed at 3000 people"

The first two bands has been revealed and it is The Is Hell and Polar Bear Club.

Stay tuned and keep refreshing for more updates.

UPDATE @ 12:36 :

The third band is Emarosa

There are rumors the headliner is Bring Me The Horizon. Stay tuned.

Second Update @ 2:10:

The page finally reached 3,000 views and the fourth and fifth bands are AUGUST BURNS RED AND BRING ME THE HORIZON

So this rounds out the fall AP tour which will take place in October and November. Definitely a more punk feel than the spring tour, but we're still very happy with the artists on the tour. We can't wait for the tour dates to be released and we hope to see you there in the pit!

AP to announce 2010 Fall Tour Today at Noon EST

Today at noon EST Alternative Press is going to announce their fall tour line-up and needs your help to spread the word! The line-up is going to stay a mystery and no clues are going to be given out, but that doesn't mean people won't try to make guesses. Predictions are flying everywhere about the tour, which is going to happen only a few months after the spring tour which had NeverShoutNever and The Cab as the headliners. The wait will soon be over, only two more hours until the world will now. So get your twitter accounts ready and make sure you know where the hash tag is (it should be above the 3 key) because I predict the trending topics are going to be all about the AP Fall Tour.
